چکیده
Abstract We have evaluated six phenoxazine derivatives as visible light photosensitizers for the photochemical reduction of CO 2 to with an iron porphyrin catalyst in organic media. The core was functionalized electron‐donating or ‐withdrawing groups modify photophysical properties. Both singlet and triplet excited state potentials sensitizers spanned several hundred mV range ground oxidation 250 mV. observed that no correlation can be established between production potential phenoxazine, which determines driving force electron transfer catalyst. On contrary, a clear made CO. This observation indicates process limited by photosensitizer regeneration highlights fact transfers not directly related activation could play key role homogeneous photocatalytic systems.

A new porphyrin-based porous organic polymer (POP) with BET surface area ranging from 780 to 880 m(2)/g was synthesized in free-base form via the reaction of meso-tetrakis(pentafluorophenyl) porphyrin and a rigid trigonal building block, hexahydroxytriphenylene. The material was then metallated with Fe(III) imparting activity for Lewis acid catalysis (regioselective methanolysis ring-opening of...
متن کاملMultitechnique Characterization of a Polyaniline−Iron−Carbon Oxygen Reduction Catalyst
This paper summarizes a XANES, XPS, XRD, and Mössbauer study of an oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) catalyst obtained via a heat treatment of polyaniline, iron, and carbon black. The catalyst was characterized at several critical synthesis stages and following heat treatment at various temperatures. The effect of sulfur during the synthesis was also investigated. XANES linear combination fitting...
متن کاملChemoselective nitro reduction and hydroamination using a single iron catalyst
The reduction and reductive addition (formal hydroamination) of functionalised nitroarenes is reported using a simple and bench-stable iron(III) catalyst and silane. The reduction is chemoselective for nitro groups over an array of reactive functionalities (ketone, ester, amide, nitrile, sulfonyl and aryl halide). The high activity of this earth-abundant metal catalyst also facilitates a follow...
متن کاملA superior catalyst with dual redox cycles for the selective reduction of NO(x) by ammonia.
An environmentally benign Cu-Ce-Ti oxide catalyst exhibited excellent NH3-SCR activity, high N2 selectivity and strong resistance against H2O and SO2 with a broad operation temperature window. The dual redox cycles (Cu(2+) + Ce(3+) ↔ Cu(+) + Ce(4+), Cu(2+) + Ti(3+) ↔ Cu(+) + Ti(4+)) play key roles for the superior catalytic deNOx performance.
